Boston University offers 50 % tuition for parents having children in Chelsea and Boston public schools.
This scholarship for parents gives entry to a college degree—together with new career options, personal improvement, and the opportunity for parents to share their motivation of a college education together with their children.
Qualified parents select from fifteen on-campus bachelor’s degree programs—and take advantage of the expediency of evening classes.
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, parents must
1) have a child entered in a Chelsea or Boston public school;
2) be US permanent residents or citizens;
3) have finished six college courses having a GPA of 3.0.
In order to apply, you should submit the next:
- Metropolitan College Admission form;
- Application for Scholarship for Parents form;
- Scholarship Essay (can also be utilized for undergraduate admission). Mention how you became concerned in your field of study. What experiences, activities, people, etc. have encouraged this interest? What are the long-term goals of yours, and how will the scholarship influence your studies at the University? Restrict your essay to two and double-spaced typewritten pages, roughly400 words.
- Letter of recommendation;
- Official transcripts the schools attended;
- High school transcript;
- Certification of your child’s enrollment in Chelsea or Boston Public School.
